Northeast Wine Brokers is proud to be the exclusive agent for the
following Folk Machine wine in Connecticut:
2008 Folk Machine Pinot Noir, Central Coast
The 2008 Central Coast Pinot Noir is our fourth bottling of this
wine. The 08 is 95% a blend of 3 Monterey County vineyards and 5%
fruit from the Vecino Vineyard in Potter Valley. The wine was aged
in primarily neutral oak to leave the fruit and freshness of the
wine intact. Overall, like many of our wines, this Pinot Noir is
intented to be balanced and drinkable. It is not heavily extracted,
largely structured, big oaked, alcoholic, or sweet.
Tasting Note: We have always intended that this wine be
a casual Pinot, something that can be paired with food and enjoyed
easily - not a show-stopper. The 08 is a return to the leaner, lower
alcohol, more earth influenced style that we achieved in 05 and
06. Consistent with this wine is a pronounced spiciness and light
strawberry flavor and color. Enjoy it till it's gone - don't wait!
