About the Winery
Located in the quaint town of North Stonington, Jonathan Edwards
Winery is situated on a beautiful 48-acre hilltop overlooking the
Atlantic Ocean. The Edwards family has taken a unique approach to
providing you with the best wine tasting experience possible. Jonathan
Edwards handcrafts both premium Napa Valley, California and estate
Connecticut wines to highlight each coasts' unique climate. The
two diverse product lines compliment each other and allow our guests
to sample delicious wines that showcase what each area is known
for. Estate Connecticut wines will be available once our vineyards
come into production.
Northeast Wine Brokers is proud to be the exclusive
agent for the following Jonathan Edwards wines in Fairfield County,
Connecticut:
2006 Napa Valley Chardonnay
Ultra lively citrus notes are prevalent on the nose, followed by
a broad, smooth mouth-feel and a crisp, not buttery, finish.
2004 Napa Valley Merlot
Our 100% Merlot release hails from a gorgeous vineyard in Oakville
directly behind Opus One. This wine has deep color, a bright clear
bouquet of cherry, raspberry and is followed by a lush finish of
plum and spice. Near perfect growing conditions delivered a quintessential
Napa Valley Merlot.
2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
A long slow harvest season resulted in the picking of our Cabernet
grapes on October 30th revealing soft tannins and subtle aromatic
nuances. Earthy tones of tobacco, dark chocolate and peat continue
to dominate the bouquet of our 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon.
2005 Napa valley Zinfandel
One of our best sellers! Our 100% Zinfandel continues to be harvested
from low yielding 50 year old head-pruned vines. Up front, jammy
blackberry/raspberry fruit is followed by a smooth round easy finish.
2004 Napa Valley Syrah
Extended barrel aging for over 2 years enriches our Yountville Syrah
to its fullest potential. Upfront dark cherry aromas transition
into dark chocolate and black raspberry on the palate. Our bold
Syrah is sure to please now, or improve over the next 8-10 years.
